Franklin Liquid Fuels Tax Fund Gets Clean Opinion from PA Auditor Gen'l

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Auditor General is out with a final report, the result of an attestation engagement or audit of the Liquid Fuel Tax Fund for the City of Franklin from January 1 2013 to December 31, 2015. 

The reports states the city provided the Auditor General with a management representation letter on the date of the exit conference in August at the city's offices, city officials did not respond to a request from the Auditor General for an updated management representation letter including the disclosure of any subsequent events affecting the audit through the date of the report. 

 

The auditors write except for the possible effects of not providing an updated management representation letter, the liquid fuel tax fund audit with adjustments present, in all material respects, the information required by PennDOT for the audit period of the City of Franklin was in conformity with all the criteria set forth.  The Auditor notes adjustments were made to "maintenance and repair of roads and bridges," and "Miscellaneous" because expenditures of $2,410.17 were misclassified.
