A 20 year old Franklin woman is cooling her healing in the Venango County Jail without bond in connection with a domestic incident in the Village of Rocky Grove Tuesday morning. The Sugarcreek Borough Police report they were dispatched shortly after 10 am for the report of an active domestic incident with the woman threatening the known victim with a knife and acting erratically. Police identify the woman as Erica Rick, who was taken into custody following an investigation. Police say she is charged with simple assault, misdemeanor 2 (pacing the victim in fear of serious bodily injury) as well as disorderly conduct misdemeanor 3 (engaging in threatening behavior. )
According to the Sugarcreek Borough Police, Rick was arraigned before District magistrate Patrick Lowry and remanded to the Venango County Jail, bail denied. Court records indicate bail was denied because Rick was uncooperative and failed to answer questions relating to setting her bail. A Preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday January 11th in Venango County Central Court at 1:30 pm.
According to online court records, Erica Raelene Rick is not yet represented by an attorney. The court records also indicate Rick is only charged with two Misdemeanors: Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct.
