
You may recall we told you last Thursday about a one pot methamphetamine lab found during the investigation of an active domestic disturbance in Sugarcreek Borough, Venango County. As a result, a 45 year old man with no permanent address was lodged in the Venango County Jail unable to raise $20,000 bond.
Friday afternoon we learned from the Sugarcreek Borough Police Department that charges were filed in connection of the meth lab found last Wednesday at apartment 406 of Franklin Commons. Police say Alisha Fisher, 25, with no permanent address was charged with conspiracy to operate a meth lab (felony), conspiracy to possess methamphetamine precursors (felony) and conspiracy of risking a catastrophe (felony). Fisher was arraigned before District Justice Lowry and remanded to the Venango County Jail on $25,000 unable to post bail. She awaits a preliminary hearing on Wednesday January 11th at 1:30 in Venango County Central Court. Online court records show Fisher to from the Borough of Polk. As of Friday afternoon she had not been finger printed or advised of his right to apply for assignment of counsel, however these same records also show Oil City attorney Neil Rothschild representing Alisha Renee Fisher.
Sugarcreek Borough Police had reported last week they were called to the 400 building of Franklin Commons at 9 Crestview Drive Wednesday afternoon shortly before 4 pm and found Jerry Phillips and a woman we now know is Alisha Fisher involved in a confrontation. As officers investigated the situation, they located precursors for the manufacturing of methamphetamine. The officers called in agents of the Attorney General's Office and the Pennsylvania State Police Clandestine Lab Team. The Sugarcreek Borough Police applied for a search warrant. The authorities found evidence at the scene showing an active one pot cooking method had been completed within the apartment as well as numerous chemicals and ingredients for making meth. Phillips was charged with possession of methamphetamine precursors as well as risking a catastrophe. Police say Phillips was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Matthew Kirtland and lodged in the Venango County Jail. A preliminary hearing is set for Phillips for Wednesday January 11th. Police say other charges are pending.
Police also report because numerous one pot labs were located within the apartment, the building was evacuated. Assisting at the scene were personnel and units from the Rocky Grove Volunteer Fire Department, the Reno Volunteer Fire Department and Community Ambulance Service.
