An active shooter drill in Venango County is set for Thursday, February 2. Franklin State Police Community Services Officer Michelle McGee says multiple agencies throughout the county will be joining forces in a collaborative effort to test emergency responsiveness to an active shooter scenario. The exercise will be held at 1:30 pm at Franklin High School in Sandycreek Township. Local residents should expect to see numerous emergency response vehicles while the drill is in progress.
Participating agencies include multiple law enforcement agencies, Venango County Public Safety, Franklin School District, Community Ambulance, Venango County Human Services, Venango County Court Supervision, local fire departments and PennDOT.
