Harrisburg – The Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry is out with its December 2016 employment situation report for Venango County.
Venango County’s unemployment rate was up 0.3 percent from November to 7.0 percent.
Venango County’s civilian labor force was down over the month to 23,900.
Unemployment in the county stood at 7.7% in October 5.5 percent in December 2015.
Over the year, total nonfarm jobs in Venango County rose by 100 to 19,500 in December.
